Here at SureStore Bury, we’ve had an amazing first six months since opening our doors to the public in September 2019. We’ve been extremely business with business breakfasts, charity events, and visiting local businesses, so we thought we’d choose some of our favourites to share with you. Take a look at what we’ve been up to since opening!
We Got Involved with a MacMillan Coffee Morning!
Back on 27th September, we hosted our very first Macmillan Coffee Morning. Charity is very important to us as a company, and we strive to take part in any community activities possible to help in any way we can! Our local business friends came to visit and donate, as well as sampling our delicious “homemade” cakes… we won’t tell if you don’t!
We Sponsored the North West Premier Business Fair (Twice!)
In October, we proudly sponsored the North West Premier Business Fair. This was a great afternoon, an excellent opportunity to network and find out what other local businesses do, as well as educating members of the public about our self-storage business and the way we work. The evening was a great success, we went ahead and did it all again this month!
We Hosted the Best of Bury Networking Breakfast
November saw The Best of Bury hold their Networking Breakfast on-site at SureStore! With lots of prior planning and preparation, the team at Bury transformed the office space into a fully functional networking breakfast space, complete with tea, coffee and a lovely breakfast courtesy of our neighbours… Greggs! Paul & Alex gave a ten-minute insight into the self-storage industry & SureStore, and proudly gave a tour of the facility after breakfast. A great way to show off our brand-new store, I’m sure you’ll agree!
We Welcomed our First Office Space Tenants!
Following a relaxing Christmas break, we welcomed our very first Office tenants in January – Artze Wall Art. Due to business expansion, Artze moved into our largest office and store their stock with us separately in a secure self-storage unit. Artze have an amazing selection of prints on offer inspired by the latest trends, from geometric art to florals and even pieces for children’s nurseries, the variety is endless! We love having Alison and the team with us here on site, and we can’t wait to watch the business grow even more!

Since then, we’ve taken part in the Bury Bowling Tournament, made friends with an amazing local charity called SuperJosh supporting children with brain tumours or post-surgery disabilities families along Josh’s journey.
After a fantastic first six months, we’re excited about the future of SureStore Bury and connecting with the local community, businesses and charities. Here’s to another six months!
